F-15C Eagle Afterburner Artistic 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Nice shot of an F-15C Eagle in full afterburner. I've added a few artistic touches to the shot to give it a different feel. Enjoy!

MV-22 Osprey Hover 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Here's an artistic rendering of the MV-22 Osprey. Part helicopter, part airplane, and some say the worst part of both. The fact that it flies is an engineering marvel.

AH-64A Apache Attack Helicopter 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Great artistic shot here of a US Army AH-64A Apache helicopter. Definitely my favorite U.S. chopper. Anyone remember playing Jane's Apache Longbow? The good ole days.

Enjoy!

F-15E Strike Eagle Artistic 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Nice shot here of an F-15E Strike Eagle. Always amazing when engineers turn a purebred A/A fighter into an A/G bomber. Just before I left Nellis, I worked on F-15E's. Sweet plane.

Enjoy!

F-16C Up Close and Personal -- 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Great shot here of the F-16C Fighting Falcon. Nothing like this fighter jet in the world. Hard to imagine that one day the USAF will be all F-35s and these beautiful planes will be history.

I've done a little more enhancement/artistic stuff with this shot so I'm putting it in the artistic category.

French Mirage 2000 Fighter 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Here's a shot of a French Mirage 2000 fighter jet that flew in for a Red Flag Alaska exercise. Enjoy!

F18 Hornet Full AB Catshot 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Great shot here of an F/A-18C Hornet getting a full afterburner catshot off the carrier.

This wallpaper is in the artistic category since I've significantly modified the original with multiple processing effects. Hope you enjoy it.

F-16C Falcon Poster 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Creative mood again today. I took an average shot of an F-16 and turned it into a poster style widescreen wallpaper. Hope you like it.

P-51 Mustang 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Here's an artistic interpretation on a P-51 Mustang shot I took at a Nellis AFB airshow back in 2003. Think of it as modern art ... :)

F18 Super Hornet 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

I decided to have a little fun with today's widescreen desktop wallpaper. I tried to make it look more "poster" style and I think it turned out "ok".

If anything, I hope it inspires you to be more creative in what you do. If you don't go outside your current boundaries, you'll never grow...

Enjoy!

Artistic F-22 Raptor 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Here's a great shot of an F/A-22 Raptor right after takeoff. The wallpaper design incorporates a few artistic filters and gives the final product a unique look. Maybe I'm the only one that thinks it rocks... Thoughts?

F22 Raptor 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

From certain angles the F/A-22 Raptor is a mean looking fighter. In this shot you can see the side weapons bays with missiles on the launchers. Impressive.

French F-2 Rafale Carrier Landing 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Here's my artistic rendition of a French F-2 Rafale fighter performing a carrier landing. The Rafale is a beautiful aircraft.

Enjoy!

F-16C In-Flight 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Hey all, here's another great in-flight shot of the F-16C Fighting Falcon. It's got two laser-guided bombs, a Maverick missile, along with two fuel tanks. Enjoy!

Flying the F-18 in FSX 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Here's a shot from inside the cockpit of an F/A-18C Hornet in FSX. There's nothing like flying around in a Hornet!

Like Pieter mentioned, I'm out of town starting today (going to San Francisco for work related stuff). Pieter will cover and post some of the great shots he's taken from the airshow.

F-15E Strike Eagle 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

The F-15E Strike Eagle is an amazing plane. I had a USAF friend who worked on them (after we both worked on F-16s) and he got me in the cockpit.

Back in the 90's this was "the" tactical bomber. I don't know if any of you remember Janes F-15 Strike Eagle flight simulator but I helped work on that (beta testing).

The F-15E isn't as fast or maneuverable as the F-15C but it's a sophisticated weapons platform.

NASA X-29 Forward Swept Wing Aircraft 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

I don't know if many of you remember this aircraft, but NASA played around with the forward wing concept back in the 80's. The product was the X-29 which is a hybrid aircraft made from parts from an F-5, F-16, and F-18.

Though the concept was validated by an increase in transonic maneuverability, interest in the concept remained low and the aircraft were ultimately sent to museums.

F-16XL and SR-71 Formation Flight 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Here's another formation photo for the history books. You have a NASA SR-71 and F-16XL in close formation flight. They were using the XL to fly within 200 feet of SR-71 to gather test data on supersonic shock waves.

Two beautiful airplanes.

P.S. Congrats to the poll viewers that picked David Cook to win American Idol.

C-17 Globemaster Massive Formation 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Talk about a formation flight, here's a massive formation flight of C-17s. From what I read, there was an exercise where 20 C-17s flew sorties to show their airlift capabilities. Pretty cool if you ask me.

B-2 Stealth Bomber 1680 x 1050 Widescreen Wallpaper

Less than 20 of these beauties left in the world. Here's a nice shot of the B-2 parked on the flightline. I probably say this every time I post, but I used to build these aircraft. Nothing like them in the world.

Enjoy!
