Here's a shot you don't see often. A B-52 Bomber in formation with F-18Cs over the Nimitz carrier. They were probably playing war games and the B-52 got intercepted (as usual).

Here's a rare photo of the B-52 bomber cockpit. In case you didn't know, this bomber has eight engines and that means eight sets of engine dials and throttles.

What's amazing is that this old-timer is still flying.

I'm back!

Last months I didn't have much time to post on the blog due to examinations. It’s getting warmer which means the airshow season is approaching. The first airshow I will visit is at Leeuwarden, the Netherlands the 21th of June. I secretly hope to see one of these jumbo-bombers pass by… Keep on dreaming, I guess…

The B-52 Bomber is always a star performer at airshows. You can see the huge plumes of black smoke miles away before it makes a pass and the anticipation is electric.

I took this shot during the early afternoon pass and review of Vietnam era aircraft.
