Happy 2008! Let's start this new year off with a BANG from the Battleship Wisconsin (BB-64). What's amazing is that this ship was active from 1944 through 1991, even participating in the Gulf War.
I also want to say a special thanks to all of you. This site started in August, 2007 and
in December we had over

Nice shot of an F-15E Strike Eagle taking off. I like the motion blur effect. A buddy of mine used to work on these aircraft and I've been in the cockpit. Nice plane!
Excellent shot of a four-ship Heritage flight over New York city. The P-51 is still a marvel but it is amazing to see how far aircraft design has progressed in 40 years.
Great shot of an AH-64D, one of the most feared helicopters in the world. Anyone remember the computer sim named Longbow? I miss it.
If you've ever seen a Harrier perform at an airshow, you know it is a thriller. There's just something about raw thrust and vertical takeoffs (not to mention hovering).
